Alpine wool throw: the expression of an alpine heritage

The anthracite Alpine wool throw perfectly embodies Arpin's DNA: a noble material, a distinctive aesthetic, and a deep connection to the region. Made from 100% alpine wool, it is crafted using the traditional Tissu des Alpes, an iconic textile renowned for its density, durability, and resilience.

Its intense, mineral anthracite color evokes rock and alpine landscapes. It is structured by contrasting red bands and the signature cross, discreetly integrated into the pattern. This strong graphic composition adds character while maintaining a sense of understated elegance. The throw thus becomes a decorative piece in its own right, capable of transforming a chair, bed, or sofa into a stylish focal point.

Its fringed finish highlights its authenticity and evokes traditional textile craftsmanship. Dense without being stiff, warm without being heavy, the Alpin throw offers a reassuring and enveloping presence, ideal for cooler seasons as well as mountain interiors or contemporary settings.

Made in France, it reflects a constant commitment to quality materials and meticulous finishing. The anthracite Alpin throw is not just a textile accessory: it's a statement piece, designed to last and retain its aesthetic appeal for years to come.

An exceptional material: alpine wool and Alpine fabric

The Alpine throw is made from 100% alpine wool, a naturally warm, breathable, and durable fiber. Sourced from herds adapted to mountain climates, this wool has a dense and resistant structure that ensures excellent durability.

Crafted according to the traditional methods of Alpine textiles, it reveals a fabric with a crisp drape and a clean, crisp feel. This specific weave, emblematic of the Arpin heritage, offers both thermal insulation and robustness without sacrificing elegance. The material retains heat while allowing air to circulate.

To the touch, the wool expresses its authenticity: a structured, slightly dry and enveloping texture, the hallmark of alpine fabrics. A living material, designed to last, which gives the Alpine throw its unique character.

The Alpine throw: a textile piece crafted like a heritage

The Alpine throw is not limited to a practical function: it stands out as a true textile piece. Each step of its creation reflects precise expertise, where the material is respected and worked with exacting standards.

Woven and assembled with care, Tissu des Alpes retains all its density and structure. The contrasting stripes are integrated into the weave, creating a clean and lasting graphic design, free from any superficial effect. The signature cross punctuates the whole with precision, serving as a discreet yet distinctive marker.

The small fringed edges highlight the fabric's authenticity and recall the product's handcrafted origins. Nothing is merely ornamental or superfluous: every detail contributes to the piece's visual balance and longevity.

Designed to last through seasons and years, the Alpine throw is a structured, robust and timeless textile creation, faithful to the spirit of the alpine fabrics from which it originates.

The Alpine throw for everyday use: warmth, structure and character

The Alpine wool throw blends seamlessly into everyday life. Placed on a sofa, folded at the foot of the bed, or draped over an armchair, it instantly creates a strong visual presence and a feeling of controlled comfort.

Its dense alpine wool provides enveloping warmth, ideal for cool evenings, without feeling heavy. Thanks to the durability of the Alpine fabric, it retains its structure and crisp drape, even after regular use. It doesn't wrinkle easily and maintains its graphic appeal, whether simply laid flat or actively worn.

Its generous size (150 x 200 cm) allows you to wrap yourself up completely or share it. It's perfect for reading, relaxing, or winding down at the end of a quiet day. Both functional and decorative, the Alpin throw becomes a living space in its own right, designed to last and to be used, not just admired.

An authentic feel, a frank and enveloping touch

The Alpine throw reveals the full character of alpine wool to the touch. Its dense material offers a firm, structured feel that immediately conveys the quality of the Alpine fabric. Nothing smooth or artificial: the contact is authentic, slightly textured, true to mountain textiles.

This texture provides an immediate feeling of warmth. The wool absorbs and retains body heat while remaining breathable, creating balanced comfort. Enveloping without being heavy, the throw provides a sense of stability and protection.

Over time, the fabric retains its shape and character. The feel remains crisp, vibrant, and imbued with the inherent quality of the natural fiber. A genuine, lasting sensation that makes the Alpin throw as pleasant to use as it is to behold.

The Alpine throw: Woven and made in France, in the Arpin workshops

The Alpin throw is entirely woven and made in France, in the Arpin workshops. This local production guarantees complete control over each stage: from the processing of the wool to the weaving of the Tissu des Alpes fabric, right through to the finishing touches and quality control.

At the heart of our mill, textile know-how has been passed down since the 19th century. The looms, the precise gestures and the attention to detail ensure regularity of weaving, controlled density and clean finishes, like the small fringes characteristic of the Alpin model.

Producing in France is not simply a matter of origin. It is a commitment to sustainability, traceability, and the preservation of a living textile heritage. Each throw reflects this continuity between tradition and contemporary demands.

Care instructions for the Alpine wool throw

The Alpine throw, made from 100% alpine wool, deserves appropriate care to preserve the density of the Alpine fabric and the vibrancy of its colors.

Machine washing is not recommended, nor are bleaching or tumble drying, as these can damage the fibers and cause shrinkage. If necessary, opt for professional cleaning using a gentle water cycle.

Ironing should remain occasional and be done at a low temperature (110° maximum), without steam, as this can weaken the structure of the textile.

On a daily basis, it is recommended to air the throw regularly in the open air, away from direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight. Wool is a naturally resistant and self-cleaning fiber: simple airing is often enough to restore its freshness and shape.

These simple steps help to preserve the quality, feel and elegance of the Alpin throw for a long time.
